ICT Week 7- Presentations.
This week we presented our SmartBoard resources that we will be assessed on
to our peers. The resource that I created was a Year 5 lesson on Victorian
Britain which followed the aims of the KS2 History Curriculum. The resources
encouraged children to reflect on what they had already learned about the
Victorians as well as ask questions about what they would like to learn. The resource
gave new information to the children about Victorian schools and explained to
them what they would be expected to do next in the lesson. The use of the
SmartBoard technology increased the interactivity of the lesson planned and
showed how the various tools can help encourage children to engage.
It was interesting to see the other people in the class’s presentations as
they had chosen very different topics to me this exposed that the SmartBoard
technology can be used in so many different ways. By receiving and giving
feedback to my peers I was able to learn what I can do better next time and
other ways in which the SmartBoard tools can be used. It was a productive
experience and definitely helped developed some of my ICT skills.
